My STEM Story
My passion for STEM began at age 10 when my dad brought home a Packard Bell Legend computer with Windows 3.11. Fascinated, I immersed myself in learning everything I could about it. I carried a 3.5-inch floppy disk filled with Microsoft Works files, eager to open them whenever I visited my grandmother—who also had a Packard Bell. I spent hours playing Minesweeper and Rodent’s Revenge, and by high school, my love for computers had only grown stronger. After graduating, I pursued a career in Information Technology by joining the military.

Throughout my career, I was often the only—or one of very few—women on my team. That experience, at times isolating, fueled my passion for exposing more girls to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). I am deeply committed to increasing awareness about the lack of female representation in STEM fields and empowering young girls to break barriers.

With that mission in mind, I founded She.Loves.STEM, Inc.—a platform dedicated to inspiring the next generation of women in STEM. By providing girls ages 11-17 from underserved and underrepresented communities with hands-on, real-world STEM learning experiences, we aim to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and the skills needed to excel in STEM fields.

Together, we are shaping the future of STEM—one girl at a time.
